Woz Art Solo Opening Night

Had an amazing opening night for my solo show at The International Museum of Art. I had a great time talking to family and friends throughout the night. It was truly special. Thank you to everyone who came out.

The show is inspired by the sunset in the Desert. I tried to capture the moment when the sun shines behind all the animals & cactus and you can see everything all at once. It feels like Heaven & Earth meet and time stands still.

The show features 236 pieces of art. There are 15 large paintings and 221 small paintings. There are 14 large cactus paintings spaced around the gallery. Featuring: Cow Tonge Cactus, Ocotillos, Agaves, and Chollas Cactus.

In between the cactus paintings are groups of 16 animal paintings. Featuring: swallow tail butterflies, quail, toads, grey foxes, rabbits, bees, tarantulas, tarantula Hawks, javelinas, rattlesnakes, and hummingbirds.

The small pieces in between the large paintings creates the effect of animals playing around the cactus in the desert.

The large paintings also blend their background colors in to the small pieces. This creates a cohesion of color through the show. This makes a unique visual experience similar to the beauty in a desert sunset.

The show will be on display until October 4th.
